The Zara Gowrie Resource Library in Hobart has been an integral part of services provided by Lady Gowrie Tasmania for many years. More recently funding by the Australian Government, through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations as part of the Inclusion and Professional Support Program (IPSP) enabled the Resource Library to be extended to the northern region by the establishment of the Margaret Dixon Resource Library in Launceston.
Carefully compiled over many years in response to the professional support needs of children’s services, Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s Resource Library houses a specialist collection of resources dedicated to early childhood. With a wide range of books, journals, kits, videos/DVD’s and related resources, this unique collection is regularly updated and is a valuable resource to all associated with enhancing the quality of care and education for children from birth to twelve years of age.
The two Lady Gowrie Resources Libraries have an extensive range of specialist early childhood publications to support early childhood professionals.
