Gowrie Australia promotes better practice in children's services through professional advice, support and training. There is a Lady Gowrie Child Centre in each Capital City. The centres provide a range of programs including child care, resource and advisory support to professionals working in children's services, professional development training and resource centres and libraries. Each Gowrie is a member of the consortium known as Gowrie Australia. The consortium work collaboratively to develop and implement high quality programs for young children. Current thinking and action research informs such development. Gowrie Australia also seek project funding for specialist programs to support children, families and early childhood professionals. The consortium meet on a regular basic to support the publication of the quarterly publication "Reflections". Gowrie Australia provide services to:
