Inclusion Support Agency (ISA)

The Inclusion Support agency is funded by the Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. The agency engages inclusion support facilitatiors to support inclusion of children with additional needs into children's services in Southern Tasmania. These services include Long Day Care, Family Day Care, Outside School Hours Care and Playgroups.

The priority client group are:

  • Children with disability or developmental delay
  • Children of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Background
  • Children of Aboriginal, Torres Straight Island, or South Sea Islander descent

Functions include:

  • Promoting and assisting the development and adoption of inclusive practices.
  • Development of resources and providing information to services, who have included children with additional needs.
  • Organising and/or facilitating specific training, relating to inclusion or additional needs, for children's services.

Funding may be available to support children with high ongoing additional needs.
